These UPSL players began their careers in the UPSL before moving on to professional soccer teams.
1. Charlie Davies – Boston Siege
Charlie Davies played for Boston Siege in the UPSL before signing with Major League Soccer’s D.C. United. He also played for several other professional clubs, including the New England Revolution and Philadelphia Union.
Davies began his youth soccer career with the Boston Bolts Soccer Club in Massachusetts. He then played college soccer for Boston College before turning pro.
2. Efrain Alvarez – L.A. Wolves FC
Efrain Alvarez played for L.A. Wolves FC in the UPSL before signing with the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer. Alvarez began his youth soccer career with the LA Galaxy Academy in California.
He has also represented the Mexican national team at various youth levels and is considered one of the top young prospects in North American soccer.
3. Diego Restrepo – NTX Rayados
Diego Restrepo played for NTX Rayados in the UPSL before signing with the San Antonio FC in the USL Championship. Restrepo began his youth soccer career with the Weston FC Soccer Club in Florida.
He then played college soccer for the University of Virginia before turning pro. Restrepo has also represented the Venezuelan national team in international competitions.
4. Lamar Batista – Santa Ana Winds FC
Lamar Batista played for Santa Ana Winds FC in the UPSL before signing with the Portland Timbers 2 in the USL Championship. Batista began his youth soccer career with the Real So Cal Soccer Club in California.
He then played college soccer for California State University, Bakersfield before turning pro. Batista has also represented the U.S. national team at various youth levels.
5. Beto Navarro – LA Wolves FC
Beto Navarro played for LA Wolves FC in the UPSL before signing with the Fresno FC in the USL Championship.
Navarro began his youth soccer career with the Fullerton Rangers Soccer Club in California. He then played college soccer for California State University, Dominguez Hills before turning pro.
6. Jorge Contreras – Santa Ana Winds FC
Jorge Contreras played for Santa Ana Winds FC in the UPSL before signing with Real Monarchs in the USL Championship.
Contreras began his youth soccer career with the Fullerton Rangers Soccer Club in California. He then played college soccer for California State University, Fullerton before turning pro.
7. Isaac Promise – Austin Real Cuauhtémoc
Isaac Promise played for Austin Real Cuauhtémoc in the UPSL before signing with the Austin Bold FC in the USL Championship. Promise began his youth soccer career with the Grays International Soccer Club in Nigeria.
He also represented the Nigerian national team in various international competitions, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he won a silver medal.
8. Eric Avila – Santa Ana Winds FC
Eric Avila played for Santa Ana Winds FC in the UPSL before signing with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the USL Championship. Avila began his youth soccer career with the IMG Academy in Florida.
He then played college soccer for the University of California, Santa Barbara before turning pro. Avila has also spent time with various MLS teams, including FC Dallas, Toronto FC, and the Colorado Rapids.
9. Luis Piffer – LA Wolves FC
Luis Piffer played for LA Wolves FC in the UPSL before signing with the Orange County SC in the USL Championship.
Piffer began his youth soccer career with the De Anza Force Soccer Club in California. He then played college soccer for the University of California, Irvine before turning pro.
10. Cesar Rivera – LA Wolves FC
Cesar Rivera played for LA Wolves FC in the UPSL before signing with the Orange County SC in the USL Championship. Rivera began his youth soccer career with the Pateadores Soccer Club in California.
He then played college soccer for California State University, Dominguez Hills before turning pro. Rivera has been known for his technical skills and versatility on the field.
11. Jesus “Chuy” Enriquez – Oakland Leopards FC
Jesus “Chuy” Enriquez played for Oakland Leopards FC in the UPSL before signing with the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in the USL Championship. Enriquez began his youth soccer career with the De Anza Force Soccer Club in California.
He then played college soccer for California State University, Bakersfield before turning pro. Enriquez is known for his creativity and vision on the field, making him a valuable asset to his teams.
